010 The Lazer Grinder EP by Morphamish & ishetiK
Morphamish is a free ranging bass music producer, DJ & live performer from Edinburgh, UK.
ihsetiK is the hardcore techno alias of dubstep producer Akira Kiteshi who cut his hardcore teeth and got Indicator Records off the ground with the superb Iron Fist EP (IND 01).
Slow and heavy industrial kicks on Meatgrinder with faster hardcore beats and stabs on Lazer Brain. Morphamish ups the speed on his remix with a sprinkling of breakbeats. ihsetiK toughens up the kicks and increases the tempo, further edging towards Hardcore Techno with his. Very different, very Indicator.
Morphamish joins Indicator Records with previous releases on Crystal Distortion (Spiral Tribe)’s Labrat Audio, RIOT Radio Records and Zimp. He’s played BBC Introducing Live and featured on 6 Music’s Fresh On The Net. Support for his extensive catalogue from Rob Da Bank, Mary Ann Hobbes, Kanji Kinetic, No Yeah No, Warlock, Tom Robinson, Crystal Distortion, Vic Galloway, Kromestar, Akira Kiteshi, Huw Stephens, and more. His DJ sets often feature his own creations along with belters from a range of sources, custom edits, live remixing, musical effects play and looping, growing moments for maximum jollies. 10 year resident at debauchery institution ETC, he’s rocked countless festivals, raves and clubs across Scotland and the UK.

009 Syndicator EP by Syntax Error
The world of deep techno music is the well-known territory of Christian Schachta aka Syntax Error. Having started as techno DJ in the late 90’s, he soon found his very special sound. Favoring deep wobbly bass lines, harsh snares, FM tones and drones, deep bass drums and tricky percussion. Like a syntax error, he breaks with commonplace regularities and creates a wholly new sound experience that is highly recognised within the techno scene.
In the beginning of the 2000s he started his own label @snorkenterprises, which is a base for modern, underground electronic techno music. It’s not about being pretentious or arty for the sake of it. It’s about real depth on the dance floor. It’s a journey with his close friends and heavy hitters Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Phil Kieran, Jens Zimmerman, DisX3 (Alexander Kowlaski) & MasCon all of whom have dedicated themselves to uncompromising, stunning beats.
Ultimately with the aim to go even further on a trip to instantly exceptional experimental sounds, ranging back to various roots of the electronic underground.
We are ecstatic to welcome Christian to the Indicator family particularly as we have liked every social media post by Snork Enterprises in an effort to stalk them into submission over the last year.

008 Iron Fist Remixes – Various
Lossless Music label boss and 31 Recordings artist Soul Intent flips Oops into a huge rolling monster, reminiscent of one of my favourite drum and bass tracks of all time the classic Known
Unknown – Rollers Edit.
Second up is a bit of a legend in the Industrial Techno scene, the man they call Stormtrooper. Famous for his releases on Deathchant and legend Lenny Dee’s Industrial Strength imprint, he goes to town on Maniac, and doesn’t hold back anything.
Third is a close friend and associate of the label, Ekwols. Fast making a name for himself in the Neuro Drum and Bass scene and soon to feature on the bill at the huge 25th Anniversary of Virus Recordings on the 3rd November at the Steelyard in London. He flips the amazing Air Raid into something that sounds like a fight between a chainsaw and a lightsabre.
Lastly and my no means least. Our man in Paris Counterfeit Jesus also flips Air Raid into a hard house floor filler. Hilariously we didn’t even ask him to do it. He just sent an email with the file attached along with a picture of the face melting scene from Indiana Jones. A touch of class from the elusive Frenchman.

007 Guccimutha EP by Counterfeit Jesus
007 from Indicator Records sees new artist Counterfeit Jesus join our ranks. Early Daft Punk-esque filter house firmly in a 90’s style on one side with Ultrafunk and Twister. Then it is raw, crunchy, distorted techno on the other with The Growler and Cash Cow. I’m not worth your red lobster money.

006 Watch Your Step EP by The General, Grand Unified & Vigilante
Given to me on an unmastered CDR by Paul Vigilante after a visit to his studio on the Royal Mile in the early 2000’s. These tracks resurfaced again after looking through my CD case to do the mix series Unreleased Edinburgh on Mixcloud in 2019. A similar story to the Great Ezcape tracks, I thought it best to see if Paul wanted a copy. Initially Paul’s reaction was slightly astonished as he didn’t really know what tracks I was talking about, after id sent the files over, it turns out these tracks had been completely lost, and somewhat forgotten about. Originally recorded around the 2000’s at Offbeat Studios in Edinburgh. They were originally a vehicle for Gary (The General) to play original tracks at the legendary Manga club night in Edinburgh where Gary was resident. Resurrected with some brand-new mastering, it’s great for us to be able to give these tracks the full worldwide release they deserve. These are the final three tracks of a total of 6 which were discovered, the first three were released on Indicator 003. This second release includes brand new remixes from Paul Vigilante and our new artist, Jungle Alias.

005 bOkOr EP by feroX
These tracks span a whole decade. bOkOr and Cannibal 2012 were made around the time feroX released the infamous Gargoyles EP on Black Acre, which was hammered by everyone from Skream to Gilles Peterson at the time. Pulled off a defunct hard drive, resurrected and remastered. Complete with two new tracks the mighty Mondo! Mondo! and Aum, we have another ground-breaking, genre defying EP for 2022. We are proud to have had support on promo from Richie Hawtin and Marcel Dettmann on this release, which speaks volumes for its quality.

002 Resistance EP by Great Ezcape
Originally given to me on an unmastered CDR by Paul Vigilante at a Stanton Warriors afterparty around the early 2000’s. These tracks sat in my CD case for nearly two decades. After looking through the CD case to do the mix series Unreleased Edinburgh on Mixcloud in 2019, I realised I still had it. I thought it best to see if Paul had kept a copy, so got in touch with him to send over the files, the first time we had re-connected in two decades. It turns out after his move to Canada, a lot of the files were lost in the move for various reasons, and these were some early versions of the tracks they self-released in around 2006. Having always loved the music, conversations began flowing, and this music along with the Iron Fist EP formed part of the kernel of the conversation which started Indicator Records.
